Just Keep Enjoying That Chicken

The protests are just getting started in the war on people who give free water to people who hate them.

Chick-fil-A protests: Will petition and 'kiss-in' help or hurt?

The Chick-fil-A protests appear to be just getting started, with two new campaigns underway. (You didn't think this controversy was going away anytime soon, did you?)
In one campaign, Marci Alt of Atlanta has posted a petition on Change.org inviting Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy to join her family -- including her wife and their two children -- for dinner. She wants to offer him a first-hand look at a family being hurt by the company's political and social activism against gays and lesbians.
The second campaign encourages members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community to participate in a same-sex "kiss-in" Friday at Chick-fil-A outlets nationwide. Both events -- as well as overarching calls to boycott the company -- have the backing of GLAAD.
After yesterday's unprecedented, record-setting support for the right of the owner of this restaurant chain to do what he believes politically as a private citizen -- you know, free speech and all that silly stuff -- this is the only response to threats of continued protests that comes to mind:

  1. Let's see. Have a bunch of liberals, fairies, queens and bull dykes - who think they represent homosexuals - completely piss off the people they hope to persuade to embrace their lifestyle? Yeah that works.

  2. Heh, I went to the only Chick-Fil-A in WI for lunch today. Not a single kiss was struck, despite two local news stations obviously hoping for a scene. On Wednesday there was a 2 hour line for chicken there to show support.

  3. The left is slowly...painfully...learning that you can't bully everyone into seeing things your way. There is a line you can't cross. Respecting that line is called tolerance. They should try it.

  4. Oh they can cross it, alright. They do all the time and will continue in the name of tolerance in perpetuity. They will quote you history like the desegregation of the south, unions work on fair labor laws, the ACLU and civil liberties.

All of these things came about through their protests that crossed the current line and did not respect the status quo and stuck it to the man, and hippyhood is a rich heritage, and screw the draft and blahblahbah.

'Fixing' the human being is their religion, but they don't define it that way so they can use the State to enact their beliefs. Atheism is technically not a religion, but it is a stance on religion. Libs deny this basic status and thus think anything they believe can be instituted through the State without conflicting the rule of separation between church and state. Never mind that the rules conflict with YOUR religion.

  5. Thinking back on it, 'the Man' was Gov't. Many of their protests were against the Government and they preached bucking the Gov't.

Now, really, many of their protests are against religion, but they are still making their protests to the Gov't, not to the church(es). They are not asking church members to buck the church(what they should be doing), they are asking the State to bend the separation. That is what needs to be recognized. In the modern world the church has lost the ability to fight on the same stage as the State.

    1. Brilliant assessment, Tuerqas. I would add that "back in the day" when their protests were against govt., they were out of power, ie., not controlling govt. Now they are, so govt. is good. And BIG govt. is better because big govt is more power.

Liberals are always and only about power. Nothing else. Whatever current fad-ish cause they take up is to advance that power. If it were ever JUST for the righteousness of the cause, when they achieved their ends, they would "hammer their swords into plowshares" and go the fuck back to work. They don't. They push and push and push, turning a legitimate issue into a joke and a danger.
